Motorhead’s Lemmy hits up The Roxy and The Coach House with his rock-n-roll trio side project, Headcat, on January 15 and 21.

Stray Cats drummer, Slim Jim Phantom and Levi and the Rockats guitarist, Danny B. Harvey, team up with Lemmy Kilmister to play a high-energy, “take no prisoners” rock with the intent of reminding the world of how it’s supposed to sound.

Their live performances feature classic songs such as Robert Johnson’s “Cross Road Blues”, Bo Didley’s “I Can Tell”, and Chuck Berry’s “Let It Rock” among others.

In 1999 Slim Jim & Danny B. recorded a tribute to Elvis Presley, as The Swing Cats. They brought along their long time friends Johnny Ramone and Lemmy Kilmister who both recorded “Good Rockin’ Tonight” and an instrumental version of “Viva Las Vegas”.

Lemmy, Slim Jim and Danny B also recorded two additional Elvis songs as a trio. All three of them were so happy with the recordings they decided to record an entire CD of Buddy Holly / Jimmy Reed and Carl Perkins songs which was released on Cleopatra Records called, “Fool’s Paradise”.

They decided to change the band name to Headcat because of their other bands, Motorhead, The Stray Cats and The Rockats.

2011 saw the release of their second album, “Walk the Walk…Talk the Talk”, this time with Ronnie Dio’s label, Niji Entertainment. This release included two original compositions, “American Beat” and “The Eagle Flies on Friday” along with a variety of covered songs.

Headcat shows are rare because of Motorhead’s constant touring although they have managed to play occasionally in the U.S., as well as Mexico, England, and Germany over the years.

Catch them live while you can!
